Rachel’s never sure of Jack's identity nor his goal, but he claims to be an Alliance      I-Marshal. Cop or convict? The clues never stop contradicting.      Luminous Nights is a wickedly amazing intergalactic romance...The drama begins when Rachel unknowingly picks up Jack, a prisoner, after a prison riot on her Caprice. Jack is on a mission - expose the evil betrayer in the Draco Alliance. With Jack's strong will and intense focus on completing his mission, it seems that Rachel has no choice but to go along for the ride...Michele Hart created a phenomenal world, fantastic characters, an intriguing plot, and a highly anticipated romance that will never let you see chocolate the same way again...

I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Luminous Nights. It's a delightful read worth every page. And the plots twists are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Top 5 Things Fire Pages Loved about Luminous Nights!

(1) Jack's Crazy Attitude! Call me loony, but I loved Jack's murderous spirit. He is so intent on exposing the truth that he will kill anyone that gets in his way. That definitely added to the suspense of the plot and drove the story forward.

(2) Jet is Awesome! My favorite character hands-down has to be Jet, Rachel's genetically enhanced dog. He is Rachel's Chief of Security and doesn't think anything of Jack. I am a huge sucker for dogs and reading about Jet made me smile every time.

(3) Jack's Digital Mask. What would you do if you had a digital mask that could change your identity? Oh, the possibilities. Well Jack has one of these super cool masks and definitely knows how to use it. Rachel suspects that there is something not right when she first meets Jack, but it isn't very long before the mask will come off between them.

(4) Rachel the Heroine. Rachel's character and personality is so relatable. While it is obvious that Jack is the aggressor between the two, Rachel does stand up for those who are weaker and I found that very admirable. Rachel has some fantastic heroic moments in Luminous Nights, and I really enjoyed reading about her.

(5) Luminous Nights is a Balanced Novel!
My absolute favorite thing about Luminous Nights is that the story is balanced. There are equal parts of action, adventure, drama, intrigue, dialogue, and romance. This made the plot flow seamlessly. I found this book incredibly easy to read.

Michele Hart has crafted a world rich in detail similar to the movie Blade Runner...Ms. Hart’s attention to detail, character development and dialogue is exceptional. You are immediately transported to another time and place, living and breathing each moment with the main characters. The bad guys are there in force, the twists and turns of the plot making it fast paced and again, the world-building is fantastic. The romantic element is just enough without taking over the whole story. Read it. It's that good.

With the help of her genetically-enhanced canine, Jet, Rachel Waters carries the mail through the Draco sector on her ship, Caprice—and that’s all her job calls for. But lately she’s taken to doing a little more—like smuggling medical supplies to her sister on an outlawed Alba VI station. She’s also taken on a passenger who’s supposed to be dropped off in Desmonda, and that’s supposed to be the end of it. However, she didn’t count on a prison riot to muck things up.

Imperial Marshal Jack Luminous spent five years in a prison on Null trying to gain information about a top secret Alliance project called the Gemini Tick—a device that can change a person’s identity. Jack knows that it works because he’s not really Jack Luminous. His mission is to collect the remaining Gemini Ticks and keep them out of the hands of men who will use them only for evil purposes—and he’s not above killing to complete his assignment.

When the Caprice gets sucked into a wormhole and tossed into another galaxy, Rachel and Jack have to try and trust each other enough to save the blue people and their planet from the gang who stole the Gemini Ticks, finish Jack’s mission, and get back to their own galaxy alive—all while sharing hot kisses and passionate nights.

Set in the future, among the stars, Luminous Nights will draw you into a fascinating world that’ll capture your attention with it new technology and a galaxy of planets, native inhabitants, and indigenous creatures to explore. Ms. Hart knows her make-believe world well, and she’s able to bring it to vivid life.

Though Jack is a scoundrel through and through—and you won’t know whether he’s a good guy or a bad guy—you’ll like him anyway, since it seems certain that there’s more to him than meets the eye. He’ll exasperate you with his lies and manipulation, and then he’ll turn around and charm you with his charismatic personality.

Rachel, on the other hand, is too good-hearted. She nearly gets them killed several times, which sometimes frustrated me beyond endurance. However, I did admire her spunk and her fierce protection of weaker characters. She steps forward and makes the impossible possible—not bad for a heroine.

Meanwhile, the sexual tension between Rachel and Jack nearly drove me up the wall. But the wait was well worth it—and I’ll never be able to look at chocolate in the same way again.

Passionate and imaginative, Luminous Nights is an amazing e-book read that you don’t want to pass up—so point, click, and download it today!

Readers Favorite Reviews

In Luminous Nights, Michele Hart takes readers on a journey in the future. Our mode of transportation is a mail freighter. Captain Rachel Waters’ task could be compared to the pony express or today’s mail carrier.

Jack Luminous joins her on this flight. He claims to be an Imperial Marshall, much like a US Marshall in today’s world. However, is Jack, who and what he claims?

The action in this book is fast and non-ending. Rachel finds herself in the midst of battle, pulled into a space whirlpool, and transported to a planet in an unknown galaxy. The blue inhabitants ruled by an evil dictator. Neither Rachel nor Jack is team players, but if they are to save the inhabitants and survive, they must learn to trust and work together. However, how do you work with someone you cannot trust?

Ms. Hart offers readers a delightful romance, set in the future, in the far reaches of space. The action and romance in this book make it a fantastic read. There is an instant spark between Jack and Rachel, but she resists the temptation allowing the tension to build between them. Jack is a multidimensional character, both good and evil. He is capable of murder and yet cares. Technology in the world Hart has created will surprise the reader. The brain continues to function and communicate long after the body has decayed. There is a mask that can change to appearance of the one wearing it. GECer is her canine companion, sort of. Jet, the genetically enhanced dog, steals the show in this book.

Fans of Sci-Fi/Fantasy Romance will not want to miss this read!

Rachel Waters is the Captain of a spaceship that usually delivers only mail. On this trip, however, she transports drugs bound for a planet that needs them to combat a plague. If she is caught, she could end up in jail. She has one stop to make first. She must pick up a passenger from a prison planet called Null. Rachel’s straight forward assignment suddenly starts to go wrong. Instead of the man she knows, she is boarded by a man claiming to be an Alliance I-Marshal. While his ID matches his face, the prison tattoo she sees on his arm tells her that he is a convict. She is conflicted but takes him from Null. She soon discovers that he wears a holographic mask that can change his appearance. Rachel convinces herself that she will be safe once she drops him off at her next port of call. Rachel’s life is about to get very complicated.

Jack Luminous is the poster boy for the Alliance I-Marshals. He seems to be everywhere, taking down crime organizations across the entire Alliance. Jack, however, is not who he appears to be. He has an agenda. Jack has the ability to change his face whenever he pleases. He can be the handsome Jack Luminous one moment and with the flick of a switch he becomes a horribly deformed monster with a gruesome tattoo across his face. Jack is on a mission and he needs Rachel to help him achieve his goals. He also plans to seduce Rachel. Is he an Alliance I-Marshal as he claims or an escaped convict from Null?

Michele Hart keeps the reader guessing from the first page of this book. Just when you think you know the truth, something happens that puts all of your conclusions in doubt. In spite of her fear of Jack, Rachel finds herself falling under his spell. Jack never forces himself on Rachel. He waits for her to come to him. Is Rachel falling in love with a monster or a man of justice?

Here It Is.

What a complete and utter treat Luminous Nights was!… The detail of this new world that has grown out of Ms. Hart’s mind is absolutely written with credibility and fascinating to experience with a storyline which has all the elements to make it a fascinating experience. The characters are interesting with both Jack and Rachel well written with emotional depth and physical drive balancing out the story. Wonderful!

*yadkny*rated it 5 stars!

All I can say about this book is... WOW! This is one of those stories that will stay with me for a lifetime. I can't even begin to put into words how truly awesome this book is. The plot and characters are completely engaging and I fell in love with a dog and a little blue boy the minute I was introduced to them and they weren't even the main characters. The hero of this story completely captured me and I can't say that I've met any fictional hero that even comes close to him. He is the embodiment of the word hero in every sense with the kind of addictive charm that no woman would be able to stand against. Rachel should be handed an award for just being so kick-ass. The intimacy between the two is phenomenal and if the words body art and chocolate don't get your attention than I don't know what will. The world building itself was absolutely out of this world fabulous and I really felt like I was taken into another universe that I wish truly existed.

Any review I could come up with can't possibly do this book justice, but I proudly recommend this book and author to any lover of reading!

The Very Brief Tale of the Gun

This toy gun is a dream come true. Every writer who's ever dreamt up a weapon wishes to stumble upon a toy just like it. A few years ago, I was wandering through the flea market when I reached into a cardboard bin and found a toy gun every inch the match of the laser gun I’d written in Luminous Nights. It flashes light, and the guts of the gun spin when you press the trigger. The nameless manufacturer couldn’t have made a better match if I'd sent him specs. I lucked out!

One might say, the stars were on my side...

I have a lot of kid toys. This one will always be my favorite. Not big enough on the book cover, though... :-) The cover should have this BIG-ASS gun across it with a teeny cute couple in the corner.

Did I mention I love my cover? I do!
