Book One of
Beware avenging angels.
Prison breaks, alien chocolate seduction,
How many faces can one man own?
An assassin wearing a holographic mask and a prison tattoo boards Rachel’s freighter during a prison riot, intent on collecting gadgets capable of changing a man’s identity from the black-market gang who'd stolen them. Rachel’s never sure of Jack's identity nor his goal, but he claims to be an Alliance I-Marshal. Cop or convict? The clues never stop contradicting. She's horrified to find the bright holographic mask conceals the gruesome face of a monster. And the badge doesn’t slow him from murdering people right before her eyes.
When Rachel learns Jack will trade innocent lives for the digital miracles, she determines to make the mercenary grow a heart. How could a stone-cold killer kiss her so hotly? How could she kiss such a dangerous deceiver?
Jack has done years in prison to learn who’d stolen the remaining Gemini ticks, 3-D magic. Nothing will keep him from gaining extreme technology capable of unleashing galaxy-wide chaos. Forget feelings for Rachel. She can’t stop him from killing everyone involved.

I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Luminous Nights. It's a delightful read worth every page. And the plots twists are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Jack's Crazy Attitude! Call me loony, but I
loved Jack's murderous spirit. He is so intent on
exposing the truth that he will kill anyone that gets in
his way. That definitely added to the suspense of the
plot and drove the story forward.

Michele Hart has crafted a world rich in detail similar to the movie Blade Runner...Ms. Hart’s attention to detail, character development and dialogue is exceptional. You are immediately transported to another time and place, living and breathing each moment with the main characters. The bad guys are there in force, the twists and turns of the plot making it fast paced and again, the world-building is fantastic. The romantic element is just enough without taking over the whole story. Read it. It's that good.

In Luminous Nights, Michele Hart takes readers on a
journey in the future. Our mode of transportation is a mail freighter. Captain Rachel Waters’ task could be compared to the pony express or
today’s mail carrier.

Rachel Waters is the Captain of a spaceship that usually delivers only mail. On this trip, however, she transports drugs bound for a planet that needs them to combat a plague. If she is caught, she could end up in jail. She has one stop to make first. She must pick up a passenger from a prison planet called Null. Rachel’s straight forward assignment suddenly starts to go wrong. Instead of the man she knows, she is boarded by a man claiming to be an Alliance I-Marshal. While his ID matches his face, the prison tattoo she sees on his arm tells her that he is a convict. She is conflicted but takes him from Null. She soon discovers that he wears a holographic mask that can change his appearance. Rachel convinces herself that she will be safe once she drops him off at her next port of call. Rachel’s life is about to get very complicated.
Jack Luminous is the poster boy for the Alliance I-Marshals. He seems to be everywhere, taking down crime organizations across the entire Alliance. Jack, however, is not who he appears to be. He has an agenda. Jack has the ability to change his face whenever he pleases. He can be the handsome Jack Luminous one moment and with the flick of a switch he becomes a horribly deformed monster with a gruesome tattoo across his face. Jack is on a mission and he needs Rachel to help him achieve his goals. He also plans to seduce Rachel. Is he an Alliance I-Marshal as he claims or an escaped convict from Null?
Michele Hart keeps the reader guessing from the first page of this book. Just when you think you know the truth, something happens that puts all of your conclusions in doubt. In spite of her fear of Jack, Rachel finds herself falling under his spell. Jack never forces himself on Rachel. He waits for her to come to him. Is Rachel falling in love with a monster or a man of justice?

Michele Hart’s books are as tempting as chocolate and equally fascinating! What a complete and utter treat Luminous Nights was!… The detail of this new world that has grown out of Ms. Hart’s mind is absolutely written with credibility and fascinating to experience with a storyline which has all the elements to make it a fascinating experience. The characters are interesting with both Jack and Rachel well written with emotional depth and physical drive balancing out the story. Wonderful!

All I can say about this book is... WOW! This is one of those stories that will stay with me for a lifetime. I can't even begin to put into words how truly awesome this book is. The plot and characters are completely engaging and I fell in love with a dog and a little blue boy the minute I was introduced to them and they weren't even the main characters. The hero of this story completely captured me and I can't say that I've met any fictional hero that even comes close to him. He is the embodiment of the word hero in every sense with the kind of addictive charm that no woman would be able to stand against. Rachel should be handed an award for just being so kick-ass. The intimacy between the two is phenomenal and if the words body art and chocolate don't get your attention than I don't know what will. The world building itself was absolutely out of this world fabulous and I really felt like I was taken into another universe that I wish truly existed.
Any review I could come up with can't possibly do this book justice, but I proudly recommend this book and author to any lover of reading!
The Very Brief Tale of the Gun
This toy gun is a dream come true. Every writer who's ever dreamt up a weapon wishes to stumble upon a toy just like it. A few years ago, I was wandering through the flea market when I reached into a cardboard bin and found a toy gun every inch the match of the laser gun I’d written in Luminous Nights. It flashes light, and the guts of the gun spin when you press the trigger. The nameless manufacturer couldn’t have made a better match if I'd sent him specs. I lucked out!
One might say, the stars were on my side...
I have a lot of kid toys. This one will always be my favorite. Not big enough on the book cover, though... :-) The cover should have this BIG-ASS gun across it with a teeny cute couple in the corner.
Did I mention I love my cover? I do!
